Set of twelve French silver plated antique knives
An exquisite set of twelve French silver plated antique knives consisting of 6 salad/starter knives and 6 main course knives.
The knives are in very good condition with minor surface scratches and signs of wear. They are fully marked on the handle and on the blade. The handles are silver plate and the blades are made of stainless steel by French manufacturer Apollonox, most likely dating to the mid 1900s. Apollo, Societe De Coutellerie et D’orfevrerie, was a French cutlery company established in 1796, at 31 Rue Pastourelle, Paris. In the 1940s they started using stainless steel for their cutlery production after developing the side brand Apollonox.
The perfect addition to any table setting these knives showcase wonderful craftsmanship and design.
