LINEN DINNER NAPKINS, TVD EXCLUSIVE
A linen dinner napkin is one of the simplest ways to elevate a table — paired with a tablecloth for a full setting, or used alone for something more relaxed. Either way, the effect is immediate. The right napkin adds visual interest and a quiet sense of occasion without any fuss.
We searched for a long time to find the right one. Ours are made from European linen in a range of colours chosen to complement a wide variety of table settings — from the neutrals that work with everything to the bolder tones that make a table feel considered. They are hand-cut and stitched in a small family-run studio in Lithuania, designed to be generous in size with a wide hem that gives them a weight and luxuriousness that cheaper napkins simply cannot replicate.
Linen softens and improves with every wash. These are made to be used daily and kept for years.
William L Hamilton put it better than we ever could, writing in the Wall Street Journal:
"I worry about the size of napkins. Large snowy fields that drape my lap and protect me, with a graciousness you can measure: that's what I'm looking for. To be presented with a super-scaled napkin is to tell me that my host, whether publicly or privately, has eaten well, travelled extensively, knows what they're doing and cares about me."
Just wonderful ✨
