Tamegroute pottery is a work of art with a unique crafting process that has been passed down from generation to generation.
A small southern village in Morocco, Tamegroute is home to seven families each owning a wood-fired oven and their own atelier. It is in these workshops that the artisans shape the clay by hand using natural raw materials native to the area, before applying a green glaze that gives the pottery its distinctive emerald hue, authentic to the region.
Due to the handmade nature of the pieces, one can expect uneven glazing, a rough bumpy finish and inconsistencies in shape and size. However, it is these imperfections that make Tamegroute pottery unique and truly beautiful.
