Andrea B Glassware
Comporta and Lisbon, Portugal

ABC Glassware is a small studio run between Comporta and Lisbon, built entirely around the hand-painted work of Andrea Baginski Champalimaud. Comporta itself has become a particular kind of design shorthand in recent years — understated, coastal, deliberately unpolished — and Andrea's glassware fits that sensibility precisely: hand-painted patterns applied to simple glass forms, designed to look as good on a barefoot summer table as a formal one.

Her work has crossed into serious design circles — she has previously collaborated with French designer Jacques Grange on collections rooted in the Comporta landscape, a notable pairing given Grange's reputation as one of the most respected interior designers of his generation. That collaboration speaks to what makes her glassware distinct: it isn't naive folk decoration, it's considered pattern-making applied by hand to a category most people buy without thinking twice about.

We carry Andrea B because her hand-painted glassware is truly beautiful and special. Each glass carries the visible trace of a brush, which is the entire point.
