Peter Mikic is the London-based interior designer whose rooms are known for their wit, their colour, and their refusal to be boring. The Wiggle Ice Bucket is all three.

The rippled form is the signature of his Wiggle collection for The Lacquer Company — a series of pieces that take mid-century confidence and push it somewhere new. Practical (stainless steel liner, designed to keep ice for hours) and visually arresting in equal measure. The object that gets picked up and turned over by every guest who notices it.

Like all The Lacquer Company pieces, it is handmade by artists in Vietnam using Son Mai lacquer — an ancient craft involving multiple layers of natural lacquer, wet-sanded between each coat. On the Wiggle’s rippled surface, the gloss catches light differently at every angle, deepening the colour in a way that a flat surface cannot.
