An original hand-painted scene of a Maharaja on horseback riding through hill country, with a tiger, two deer and a leopard drinking at the water, and a watchtower on the left. Made in Udaipur, Rajasthan, in the Udaipur Mewar style of painting, on genuinely old paper. The painting itself is approximately 70 to 80 years old: a freehand sketch by a master painter, made in single-line brushwork with natural pigments and touches of gold.
Each piece is hand-painted, so there will never be another exactly like it. Each carries the marks of the painter's hand.
