Mitch and Misty founded The Pillow Drop in 2022 with a specific gap in mind: needlepoint cushions that were genuinely well made, properly British and didn't take themselves too seriously. Needlepoint is an old, slow craft — traditionally associated with patience and formality — and the pair set out to reimagine it for a generation that wants colour, wit and a sofa that says something about the person sitting on it.

Every cushion is designed and made in the UK, released in limited drops. The brand has built a loyal following among stylists and tastemakers who've turned individual cushions into something close to collectible. The needlepoint itself stays true to the traditional technique; what's changed is everything layered on top of it — bold colourways, plush velvet backing and slogans that range from sincere to outright funny.
