Mitch and Misty founded The Pillow Drop in 2022 with a specific gap in mind: needlepoint cushions that were genuinely well made, properly British and didn't take themselves too seriously. Needlepoint is an old, slow craft, traditionally associated with patience and formality, and the pair set out to reimagine it for a generation that wants colour, wit and a sofa that says something about the person sitting on it.

Every cushion is designed and made in the UK, released in limited drops. The brand has built a loyal following among stylists and tastemakers who've turned individual cushions into something close to collectible. The needlepoint itself stays true to the traditional technique; what's changed is everything layered on top of it, bold colourways, plush velvet backing and slogans that range from sincere to outright funny.
